ANTI-RAGGING CELL

Ragging is a heinous crime and a criminal offence as declared by the Supreme Court of India.

Our College believes in fostering a harmonious relationship amongst its students and strictly condemns ragging. We have an anti – ragging cell which comprises of the Principal and other staff members. The students are sensitized on the ill effects of ragging and the legal proceedings in curbing the practice. Awareness is created via orientation programmes in the first semester as well as before the commencement of each academic year. The hostel too is under strict vigilance and we ensure that students learn to respect and accept peers beyond their cultural and regional differences. The UGC regulations for curbing the menace of ragging are applicable to all students and parents.

COUNSELING AND ITS BENEFITS

Counseling is an integral part of Presidency P U College to support the emotional health and holistic development of our students.

Counseling helps students to manage their emotions better, improve focus on goals and work in a systematic manner for their better future. Group sessions are conducted to build self-esteem, manage stress, effectively manage time, help set goals, handle failure and emerge wiser from it, etc. Compassionate supportive counseling is extended for students who have mental health issues to help them regain good health and manage their studies effectively.
