ANTI-RAGGING CELL
Ragging is a heinous crime and a punishable offence as declared by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
Presidency P.U. College, Mangalore, firmly believes in fostering a safe, respectful, and harmonious environment among students and strictly condemns all forms of ragging. The Anti-Ragging Cell, comprising the principal and designated faculty members, actively ensures the prevention of such practices within the campus and hostel premises.
Students are regularly sensitized about the ill effects of ragging and made aware of the legal consequences through orientation programmes conducted at the beginning of every academic year. Continuous vigilance is maintained in hostels and common areas to ensure a healthy and inclusive environment that encourages respect for peers from diverse cultural and regional backgrounds.
The UGC regulations on curbing the menace of ragging are strictly applicable to all students and parents of Presidency P.U. College, Mangalore.
COUNSELLING AND ITS BENEFITS
Counselling is an integral part of Presidency P.U. College, Mangalore, aimed at supporting the emotional well-being and holistic development of every student. Regular group counselling sessions are conducted to help students build self-esteem, manage stress, improve time management, set realistic goals, and handle failure constructively.

GCT – Girls Care Team
The Girls Care Team (GCT) at Presidency P.U. College, Mangalore is a dedicated committee that ensures the safety, comfort, and empowerment of girl students both on campus and in hostels.
The GCT works proactively to address the concerns and needs of girl students, providing them with guidance, mentorship, and a platform to express their opinions freely. Regular meetings, awareness programs, and interactive sessions are conducted to discuss topics such as personal safety, health, hygiene, emotional well-being, and leadership development.
The team also plays a vital role in promoting gender sensitivity, fostering a culture of mutual respect and equality, and ensuring that every girl student feels supported, secure, and valued within the college environment.
RECREATION AND GAMES
Recreational activities play a vital role in helping students maintain a healthy balance between academic rigor and personal well-being.
The college provides indoor games such as carrom and chess, offering students a relaxing space to refresh their minds and enhance strategic thinking. Such activities promote teamwork, concentration, and a positive campus atmosphere.
